IPPC Collection and Reporting of Reference DataIn conjunction with long term monitoring data, reference data will be used to set the condition of the installation against which the restoration requirements at permit surrender will be established. Any additional pollution must be remediated back to the levels shown in the reference data. At installations where reference data is required, the results must be submitted to the agency within six months from the date of permit issue. We can design, commission and supervise any intrusive investigations required by your PPC permit. The site investigations to collect reference data are tailored for the site and the specific environmental issue. As such, costs and time frames will vary greatly for each project. However, as with all our services, design will be based on the most efficient and cost-effective methods available. Life of the Permit The SPMP will normally require the Operator to continually monitor the site during the life of the permit to assess the continued effectiveness of the pollution prevention measures. This could involve the collection and analysis of samples and/or the inspection of site infrastructure. Monitoring will require the review and assessment of data and if it indicates that a pollution incident has or is occurring the operator will be required to undertake remediation. We can review and assess the data on your behalf, ensuring compliance with your permit and an easier time during its surrender. Call us on 0114 230 6048 to discuss how we can help you with whatever stage of the PPC process you are at. |
